Abstract
Bu makalede, Aristoteles ve Nietzsche’nin trajedinin işlevine yönelik görüşlerini karşılaştırıp, farklılıklara işaret ediyoruz. Bazı önemli metinlere yakından bakmak suretiyle, Aristoteles’in trajedi analizini ve bu analizin Aristoteles’in genel konumu içerisindeki imalarını inceliyoruz.
In this article, we compare and contrast Aristotle’s and Nietzsche’s views as regards the function of tragedy for human beings. By having a close look at some important texts we explore Aristotle’s analysis of tragedy and its implications within the context of his overall philosophical position. We then relate the crucial points of this analysis to Nietzsche’s project of building a new culture based on tragic mythos and music, a culture inspired by the model of ancient Greece. In this context, we investigate such notions as Dionysiac world-view, tragic insight, will to power, mythos, katharsis, mimesis, logos and pathos.
