Bahis Argümanı ve Pragmatik İman Anlayışı

Abstract

Geçmişten bugüne Tanrı’nın varlığı ve mahiyeti pek çok felsefî tartışmaya konu olmuştur. Elbette bu tartışmalarda bir görüş birliğinden bahsetmek pek olanaklı görünmemektedir. Bu bağlamda, ‘Tanrı inancı ile kanıt (akıl) arasında nasıl bir ilişki vardır?’ sorusu farklı yaklaşımların (çözümlemelerin) ortaya çıkmasına neden olmuştur. Bu çalışma, ‘hiç- bir epistemik/aklî haklı-çıkarım olmaksızın Tanrı inancına sahip olmak mümkün müdür? Tanrı’nın ‘ne’ olduğunu ortaya koyabilecek epistemik/aklî bir zemin olmadan pratik/pragmatik nedenlerden hareketle Tanrı inancın doğruluğu savunulabilir mi?’ sorularına cevap bulmayı hedeflemektedir.

Throughout history, the existence and nature of God has been the subject of numerous philosophical discussions. It is certainly not possible to say that there is a consensus in these discussions. In this regard, different approaches (analyses) have resulted from the question “What kind of a relationship is there between faith in God and evidence (reason)?” This study, however, aims to answer the questions “Is it possible to have faith in God without any epistemic/rational justification? Can the rightfulness of faith in God be advocated through practical/pragmatic reasons without any epistemic/rational basis to prove “what” God is?”
