HAÇLI SEFERLERİNDEN GÜNÜMÜZE DÜŞMAN İSLAM VE HZ. MUHAMMED ALGISI

Abstract

Haçlı seferleri Avrupa dünyasında siyasi, sosyal, ekonomik ve baskın dini gerekçelerle başlatılmıştır. Haçlı seferlerinin gerek Batı dünyasında gerekse de Doğu İslam dünyasında önemli sonuçları olmuştur. Haçlı seferleri esnasında Avrupa muhayyilesinin İslam’a rağmen ve İslam’a karşı kendisini konumlandırdığı noktada daima düşmana ihtiyaç duyacak bir yerde olmaları nasıl anlaşılmalıdır? Haçlı ordularını harekete geçirici düşman “İslam/Müslüman” söylemi ve İslam peygamberi Hz. Muhammed’in algılanışı meselesi Haçlı seferlerinin neden? ve nasıl? tahrik edici sloganı yapılmıştır. Buradan hareketle, Hz. Muhammed ve İslam üzerinden oluşturulan algı ve bu algının oluşmasında Haçlı seferlerinin rolünün ne derece önemli olduğu makalenin üzerinde duracağı ana konudur. Ötekisi ve düşman olarak İslam ve Hz. Muhammed’in tasviri/tanımı Avrupa dünyasında sürdürülebilir bir düşman üreticiliğine yaramıştır. Bu algının Haçlı seferlerinin sürdürülmesi konusunda itici güç unsuru olma durumu ise makalede detaylıca işlenmiş, İslamofobia ile bağlantıları tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Makalede kullanılan yöntem Bergson’un anı-imge ve algı- imge önermesi/metaforudur. Haçlı tarih tasavvurunun İslam’a ve Müslümanlara bakış açısının anlaşılması ve algılanması noktasında bu yöntemin oldukça geçerli olduğunu ifade edebiliriz. Ayrıca İslamofobia’nın bugüne evrilen bağlantılarının yine anı-imge ve algı imge-ile daha somut anlaşılacağını söyleyebiliriz.

The Crusades were initiated in the European world for political, social, economic and dominant religious reasons. The Crusades had important consequences both in the Western world and in the Eastern Muslim world. How should it be understood that the European imagination was in a place where it would always need an enemy and positioned itself against Islam during the crusade? Provocative slogan and the discourse of the enemy “Islam/Muslim” together with the perception of the Prophet of Islam, Prophet Muhammad that mobilised the Crusaders raises the question of why the Crusades? and how? The main focus of the article is thus this created perception through Prophet Muhammad and Islam and the extent to which the Crusades played a role in the formation of this perception. Islam and Prophet Muhammad’s pen-portrait/ description as the other and the enemy has created a sustainable production of enemy in the European world. The fact that this perception is the driving force for the continuation of the Crusades is discussed in detail in the article, its connections with Islamophobia have been tried to be determined. The method used in the article is Bergson's memory- image and perception-image proposition/metaphor. It can be said that this method is very valid in understanding and perceiving the perspective of the Crusader history conception towards Islam and Muslims. In addition, we can say that the evolving connections of Islamophobia to the present will be better understood and more concretely with memory- image and perception-image.
