Abstract
Bu araştırma Resimli Kitaplara Dayalı Çevre Eğitim Programının okul öncesi dönem çocuklarının çevresel tutum ve görüşlerine etkisini incelemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma karma yöntem desenlerinden açıklayıcı sıralı desene göre tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmada hem nicel hem de nitel veri toplanmıştır. Nicel veriler “Çocukların Çevreye Karşı Tutumları Ölçeği- Okul Öncesi Versiyonu” ile toplanırken, nitel veriler “Çocuk Görüşme Formu” aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel bölümünde tek gruplu ön test-son test deneysel desen, nitel bölümünde durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel veri analizleri için, Wilcoxon İşaretli Sıralar Testi, nitel veri analizleri için ise içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Mardin ili Midyat ilçesinde bulunan okul öncesi eğitim kurumuna devam eden 60-72 aylık 16 çocuk oluşturmaktadır. Çevre eğitiminin okul öncesi çocukların çevresel tutum ve görüşlerine etkisini ortaya koymak amacıyla araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan Resimli Kitaplara Dayalı Çevre Eğitim Programı uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, çevre eğitim programının çocukların çevresel tutum ve görüşlerinde etkili olduğu saptanmıştır.
This research was carried out to examine the effect of the Picture Book-Based Environmental Education Program on the environmental attitudes and views of preschool children. The research was designed according to the explanatory sequential design, one of the mixed method designs. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected in the study. While quantitative data were collected with the “Children's Attitudes towards the Environment ScalePreschool Version”, qualitative data were collected through the “Child Interview Form”. In the quantitative part of the research, a single-group pre-test-post-test experimental design was used, and in the qualitative part, a case study design was used. Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test was used for quantitative data analysis of the research, and content analysis was used for qualitative data analysis. The study group of the research consists of 16 children aged 60-72 months who attend a pre-school education institution in Midyat district of Mardin province. In order to reveal the effect of environmental education on the environmental attitudes and views of preschool children, the Environmental Education Program Based on Picture Books, prepared by the researcher, was applied. As a result of the research, it was determined that the environmental education program was effective on children's environmental attitudes and views.
