Kurt Schwitters'in 'Anlamsız' Merz Kavramıyla 'Anlamlının' Özgürlüğü

Abstract

Kurt Schwitters'in yaptığı bütün işleri: sayısız figüratif çalışmaları, kolajları, merzbau yapıları, bestelediği şiirleri ve o şiirlerden özellikle ''Ursonate'' adlı resitali gibi disiplinlere dikkat çekmiştir. Üretilen her bir eser 20. yy' da yaşanılan (1. Dünya savaşı) ve maruz bırakılan acıların güçlü bir manifesto hareketindedir. Kurt Schwitters, belirli zamanlarda oluşturduğu sanat eserlerini, ilerleyen süreçlerde bir başlık altında toplamıştır. Bu başlık tesadüfi olarak keşfedilip; benliğine, eserlerine has bir dünyası 'Merz' diye adlandırılmıştır. Schwitters'in, sayısız figüratif çalışmalarında, kolajlarında, şiirlerinde, disiplinler arası bir yaklaşımla günümüz sanatı açısından değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır. Sanatçının sanata yaklaşımı, hayat hikâyesi, etkilendiği sanat hareketleri ile nevi şahsına münhasır sanat anlayışına değinmek ve Schwitters ile özdeşleşmiş 'Merz' yapıtları hakkında farkındalık oluşturmak istenmiştir. Tarihsel süreci inceleyip, eleştirel ve objektif bir bakışla ele alınması söz konusudur. Konu dâhilinde literatür taraması, eser incelemesi ve güncel gelişmelerin ilerleyen süreçler içerisinde yazılı ve görsel dille elde edilen verilerle sanatsal uygulama çalışmalarıyla derinlemesine incelenecek, bulgular yeniden değerlendirilecektir. All of Kurt Schwitters' works: his numerous figurative works, collages, merzbau structures, the poems he composed, and especially his recital called 'Ursonate', drew attention to disciplines. Each work produced is a powerful manifesto of the pain experienced and suffered in the 20th century (World War I). Kurt Schwitters collected the works of art he created at certain times under one title in the following periods. This title was discovered by chance; A world unique to himself and his works is called 'Merz'. Schwitters' numerous figurative works, collages and poems have been evaluated in terms of today's art with an interdisciplinary approach. It was intended to touch upon the artist's approach to art, his life story, the art movements he was influenced by, and his unique understanding of art, and to raise awareness about the 'Merz' worksidentified with Schwitters. It is possible to examine the historical process and approach it from a critical and objective perspective. Within the scope of the subject, literature review, work review and current developments will be examined in depth with the data obtained in written and visual language and artistic application studies in the following processes, and the findings will be re-evaluated.
