Abstract

Anaphylaxis is a serious condition that usually occurs suddenly and requires immediate treatment, which can lead to hypoxemia and/or shock and death. Nurses should be able to recognize early signs of anaphylaxis and know how to intervene appropriately. Although the risk of complications from anaphylaxis can be reduced with timely and appropriate treatment, the ideal approach is to prevent anaphylaxis from developing. Routine education of patients and their families is critical to prevent recurrence of anaphylaxis, and teaching this knowledge is a key role of the nurse. © 2023 by Nova Science Publishers, Inc.
