Article An Analysis of the Relationship between Public Sector Borrowing Requirement (PSBR), Money Supply and Inflation Rate in Türkiye(2023) Bayar, İlyas; Emek, Ömer FazılThe objective of this study is to examine the correlation between the public sector borrowing requirement, inflation rate, and money supply in Türkiye, utilizing yearly data spanning the period from 1975 to 2020. In this study, the authors employ the unit root tests with multiple structural breaks proposed by Zivot and Andrews, Lumsdaine and Papell, as well as the Maki cointegration tests with multiple structural breaks, to analyze the data. Subsequently, the application of the fully modified ordinary least squares (FMOLS) approach was utilized to ascertain the presence of a long-term association between the variables. The results indicate a positive correlation between inflation rates in Türkiye and both the public sector borrowing need and money supply over an extended period of time. Furthermore, a bootstrap causality analysis was undertaken by Hacker and Hatemi in order to investigate the causative relationship between the variables. Based on the findings pertaining to causation, it has been observed that there exists a unidirectional causal relationship from the money supply to inflation, as well as from the public sector borrowing demand to the money supplyArticle EKONOMİK KARMAŞIKLIK İNDEKSİ VE EKONOMİK BÜYÜME: CIVETS ÜLKELERİNDEN AMPİRİK KANITLAR(Uluslararası İktisadi ve İdari İncelemeler Dergisi, 2022) Bayar, İlyasBu çalışmada, CIVETS ülkelerinin 1995 ile 2019 dönemleri arasındaki ekonomik karmaşıklık düzeyi ile ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişki panel veri yaklaşımı kullanılarak araştırılmıştır. Article How do economic growth, trade openness, and non-renewable and renewable energy affect environmental quality in VISTA Countries?(UNIV ISLAM INDONESIA, 2024) Bayar, İlyas; Dabakoğlu, MehmetPurpose - This study examines the effects of economic growth, the use of renewable and non-renewable energy sources, and trade openness on carbon emissions in VISTA countries (Vietnam, Indonesia, South Africa, Turkiye, and Argentina) Method - In this work, empirical methods include the secondgeneration unit root and cointegration tests, as well as Panel AMG and Panel CCE estimators. Findings - The following are the key findings. First, the variables demonstrate a long-run relationship. Second, economic growth and the consumption of non-renewable energy sources contribute to an increase in carbon emissions over time, whereas the consumption of renewable energy sources lowers carbon emissions over time. Implication - To promote sustainable growth in VISTA countries, it is recommended to increase investments in renewable energy sources while enhanching public sector supports for the private sector. Originality - This is the first study to examine how economic growth, trade openness, and renewable and non-renewable energy sources affect carbon emissions in VISTA nations.Article Investigation of micro and macro element content of wheat varieties grown commonly in turkey(Scibulcom Ltd., 2015) Doğan, Yusuf; Doğan, YusufStudy of 15 bread wheat varieties commonly grown in Turkey (Triticum aestivum L.) was conducted in 2011–2012 and 2012–2013 growing seasons in Mardin to reveal the existing potentials in terms of macro and micro elements content. Grain yield and thousand seed weight of wheat were also examined. According to the combined analysis of two years data, Zn content of the varieties varied between 21.69 to 37.06 mg kg–1; Fe content 25.41–43.38 mg kg–1; Mn content 27.38–42.98 mg kg–1.Varieties had different contents in terms of the macro elements, Ca content in terms of macro elements varied between 590.3 and 999.5 mg kg–1, Mg content was 907.2 to 1115 mg kg–1 and K content ranged between 2250 and 3242.5 mg kg–1. The highest grain yield was obtained with 3920 kg ha–1 from Sonmez variety. Significant correlations were detected between Fe and grain yield (0.48*), C (0.63*), Mg (0.81**), K (0.54*); C and K (0.73**), Mg (0.64**), Zn (0.63*); Mn and Mg (0.55*), P (0.66**); Zn with Ca (0.80**), K (0.63 *), Mg (0.77 **) and Na and Ca (0.61*). It has been identified that Pehlivan, Osmaniyem and Altana varieties can be used in the studying of increasing the nutritional value of wheat grain since it has been identified as having high value in terms of macro and micro elements contents grain yield and thousand seed weight. © 2015, Scibulcom Ltd.
