Description

Programın amacı, sosyolojide kullanılan ana kavramlar, teorik yaklaşımlar ve araştırma yöntemleri konusunda öğrencilere sağlam bir temel sunmaktır. Bölümde verilen temel eğitim, seçmeli derslerle, stajlarla ve uygulamalı derslerle desteklenir. Sosyoloji mezunu olmak demek, giriş düzeyinden yöneticiliğe kadar çok çeşitli meslek ve işlerde yer almak; bunlarla ilgili araştırmak, eleştirel olarak yorumlayabilmek ve program geliştirebilmeyi başarmak demektir. Mardin Artuklu Üniversitesi Sosyoloji bölümünde sosyal bilim üretim potansiyelini ve üretim performansını yükseltmeye yönelik olarak öğrencilerimizi toplumsal yaşamı ve toplumları eleştirel ve yöntemli bir şekilde inceleyebilmek için gerekli donanıma sahip olarak yetiştirmek gayesi gütmekteyiz. Topluma gömülü, toplum için anlamlı bir sosyal bilimi, Türkiye içinde ekolleşebilme kapasitesi olan bir düzeyde gerçekleştirmek ve evrensel dünyaya entegre olmuş bir saygınlık düzeyinde ve bu yükseklikte bir faaliyet alanı oluşturmak önemsediğimiz bir başka hedeftir. Sosyoloji Bölümü'nü bitiren öğrenciler sahip oldukları disiplinler arası bilgi donanımı ile kamu ve özel sektörü kapsayacak biçimde geniş bir yelpazede iş olanağı bulabilirler. Sendikalar, sanayi ve ticaret şirket ve örgütleri, yerel yönetimler, basın ve medya kuruluşları, araştırma şirketleri, düşünce kuruluşları, şirketlerin araştırma-geliştirme bölümleri ve çeşitli eğitim kuruluşlarında önemli görevler üstlenebilirler.
The aim of the program is to provide students with a basic knowledge of the main concepts, theoretical approaches and research methods used in sociology. The basic education given in the department is supported by elective courses, internships and practical courses. Being a graduate in sociology means being able to work in a wide variety of professions and jobs, to conduct research, to think critically, to analyze social structures and social relations. In Mardin Artuklu University Sociology Department, we aim to educate our students with the necessary equipment to critically and methodically examine social life and societies in order to develop social science thinking. Another goal we care about is to realize a social science that is embedded in society, meaningful for society, at a level that has the capacity to become a school in Turkey and to create a field of activity at a universal level of prestige and at this height. Graduates of the Department of Sociology have a wide range of job opportunities in the public and private sectors with their interdisciplinary knowledge. They can assume important positions in trade unions, industrial and commercial companies and organizations, local governments, press and media organizations, research companies, think tanks, research and development departments of companies and various educational institutions.
