Abdurrahman Bedevi'nin hayatı, eserleri ve İslam düşüncesindeki yeri

Abstract

Bu tezde Mısırlı düşünür Abdurrahman Bedevî'nin hayatı, eserleri ve İslâm düşüncesindeki yeri genel hatlarıyla ele alınmıştır. Bu bağlamda çalışma iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Tezin birinci bölümünde Abdurrahman Bedevî'nin hayatı, eserleri ve Bedevî ile ilgili yapılan çalışmalar incelenmiştir. Devamında Bedevî'nin ilmi kişiliği ve ona dair düşünceler irdelenmiştir. Tezin ikinci bölümünde ise Bedevî'nin çalışmaları çerçevesinde İslâm düşüncesine katkıları ve bu alandaki rolüne değinilmiştir. Ayrıca onun varoluşçu felsefenin temellerine ve bu felsefi ekolün gelişimine etkisi araştırılmıştır. Evrensel düşüncenin temellerini Yunan felsefesine dayandıran Bedevî onu İslâm ve Batı düşüncesinin ortak mirası olarak tanımlamaktadır. Bedevî bu alanda yaptığı tahkik ve tercüme çalışmalarıyla Batı ve İslâm düşüncesinin temel kaynaklarına ulaşmaya çalışmaktadır. Ona göre bu sayede İslâm düşüncesi yeniden bir aydınlanma yaşayacaktır. Bu nedenle Bedevî İslâm felsefesi ve İslâm düşüncesinin gelişiminde etkili olan mantık, kelâm, tasavvuf gibi ilimler üzerine kapsamlı çalışmalar ortaya koymuştur. Böylece Bedevî bu girişimleriyle İslâm medeniyetinin bünyesinde ortaya çıkan eserlerin yeniden hatırlanmasına vesile olmuştur.

In this thesis, the life, works and place of the Egyptian thinker Abdurrahman Badawi in Islamic thought are discussed in general terms. In this regard, the study consists of three parts. In the first part of the thesis, the life, works and studies about Abdurrahman Badawi are examined. Afterwards, the Badawi's scientific personality and thoughts about him are examined. In the second part of the thesis, the contributions of Badawi to Islamic thought within the framework of his studies and his role in this field were discussed. In addition, his influence on the foundations of existentialist philosophy and the development of this philosophical school has been studied. Badawi, who based the foundations of universal thought on Greek philosophy, defines it as the common heritage of Islamic and Western thought. Badawi is trying to reach the main sources of Western and Islamic thought through his research and translation studies in this field. According to him, thanks to this, Islamic thought will experience enlightenment again. For this reason, Badawi revealed extensive studies on sciences such as logic, theology, and mysticism, which were effective in the development of Islamic philosophy and Islamic thought. Thus, Badawi with these initiatives helped to remember the works that had emerged within the Islamic civilization.
