Abstract
Bu eylem araştırması Şanlıurfa ilinin Viranşehir ilçesinde yabancı dil dersinde gözlemlenen konuşma becerisi eksikliğini geleneksel yöntemler yerine yaratıcı drama etkinlikleriyle gidermek amacıyla yürütülmüştür. On hafta boyunca süren bu araştırma, ortaokul 7.sınıfta öğrenim gören 30 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Araştırma süresince yaratıcı drama etkinliklerinden bilinç koridoru, canlandırma ve rol kartları gibi etkinliklerle öğrencilerin yabancı dil dersine karşı ifade ettikleri isteksizliklerinin giderilip motivasyonlarının artması sağlanmıştır. Araştırma verileri araştırmacının kişisel gözlemleri yanında nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden katılımcı gözlem formu, öz değerlendirme formu ve video kaydı ile çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçları incelendiğinde ise yaratıcı drama yöntemleri öğrencileri derse karşı daha istekli hale getirmiştir. Bunun yanında öğrenciler aktif katılım sağladığı tekniklerle kelimeleri daha kolay hatırlayabildikleri için başarılı olmuştur. Ayrıca araştırma süresince öğrencilerin yabancı dil dersindeki başarılarının yanında kişisel değerlerinin geliştiği de görülmüştür.
This action research was carried out in Viranşehir district of Şanlıurfa province in order to eliminate the lack of speaking skills observed in foreign language lessons with creative drama activities instead of traditional methods. This research, which lasted for ten weeks, was applied to 30 students studying in the 7th grade of secondary school. During the research, with activities such as conscience alley, animation and role cards, which are among the creative drama activities, increased the motivation of the students by eliminating the reluctance they expressed towards the foreign language lesson. Research data were analysed with participant observation form, self-evaluation form and video recording, which are qualitative research methods, as well as personal observations of the researcher. When the results of the research are examined, creative drama methods make students more willing to lesson. In addition, students were successful because they could remember words more easily with the techniques in which they actively participated. Moreover, during the research, it has been observed that the students' personal values have improved as well as their success in the foreign language course.
