Abstract
This study aimed to reveal how the dimensions of flow experience shape the perception of satisfaction in the impact of tourists' psychological anxiety and fear during guided tours on tour satisfaction. The study examined the role of flow experience in the impact of tourists' fear of missing out and being without internet access on tour satisfaction during guided tours. Data were collected from 400 foreign tourists who visited the Nevşehir province of the Cappadocia Region and participated in a guided tour. Structural equation modeling was used to test the model developed in the study based on the obtained data. The research findings indicated that tourists' fear of missing out and being without internet access negatively impact tour satisfaction during a guided tour. The control dimension of flow experience was found to moderate the relationship between fear of missing out and tour satisfaction. It was concluded that the curiosity dimension of flow experience did not moderate the relationship between fear of missing out and tour satisfaction. The control dimension of the flow experience was found to moderate the relationship between fear of being without internet access and tour satisfaction, while the curiosity dimension of the flow experience was found to have no moderating effect on the relationship between fear of being without internet access and tour satisfaction. These findings highlight the importance of effectively managing the inevitable fears and anxieties of the digital age for satisfaction and enjoyment in guided tours.
