Abstract
One-way ANOVA testiyle Independent Samplest Testi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmaya katılan bireylerin%41,8'i 31-40 yaş grubunda olup %58.2'si erkektir. %68,9'u lisans mezunu, %71,4'ü evli ve %33,6'ü 6-10 yıl deneyime sahiptir. Katılımcıların %72,4'ü hemşire olup %86,6, kamuda çalışmaktadır. Geliri giderinden az olanların oranı %37,8'dir. Yabancı dil bilenlerin oranı %54,5 olup bulunanların oranı %30,8'i yurtdışında bulunmuştur. Sağlık turizmi alanında çalışanların oranı %10,4, sağlık turizmi hakkında eğitim alanların oranı %25,1 olup çalışılan hastaneye yurtdışından hasta gelenlerin oranı %49,3'tür. Sağlık turizmi farkındalık ölçeği yaş, cinsiyet, eğitim durumu, hastanede çalışma süresi, sağlık turizmi alanında çalışan ve çalışılan hastaneye göre anlamlı düzeyde farklılık arz etmemektedir (p>0,05). Ayrıca sağlık turizmi farkındalık ölçeği sağlık turizmi hakkında eğitim alma, yabancı dil bilme, yurtdışında bulunma ve kurum türüne göre anlamlı düzeyde farklılık arz etmektedir (p<0.05). Sağlık turizmi farkındalığını eğitim, yabancı dil bilme, yurtdışında bulunma ve kurum türü etkilemektedir. Sağlık turizmi farkındalığı hizmet içi eğitimler ile desteklenmeli. Sağlık personellerinin güncel takipleri, yeni eğitimlere olan yaklaşımları, başta teknolojik gelişmelerde dâhil standartlara ayak uydurmaları önem arz etmektedir. Türkiye'de sağlık turizmi sahasında araştırma eksikliği dikkate alındığında, bu çalışma alan yazına katkıda bulunacaktır.
Health tourism, which has become an integral part of the tourism sector today, has evolved into a significant industry contributing substantially to national economies with its branches such as medical, spa and wellness, and third-age tourism. While certain countries globally are making significant strides in health tourism, others remain in the position of sending tourists to these regions. Turkey possesses significant potential in health tourism and stands as a promising country in this regard. This study aims to identify the factors influencing the perceptions of healthcare workers (doctors and nurses) in public and private hospitals in the central district of Artuklu in Mardin regarding health tourism. The population of this descriptive study consists of public and private hospitals in the central district of Artuklu in the Mardin province. Instead of selecting a sample, the goal is to reach the entire population. Before starting the study, necessary permissions were obtained from the Mardin Provincial Health Directorate and the Non-Interventional Ethics Board of Mardin Artuklu University on October 9, 2022, with the reference number 2022-5.Data. Face-to-face interviews were conducted with 402 healthcare workers who agreed to participate in the study. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS package program. One-way ANOVA test and Independent Samples t Test were performed. Regarding the participants in the study, 41.8% were in the 31-40 age group, and 58.2% were male. 68.9% had a bachelor's degree, 71.4% were married, and 33.6% had 6-10 years of experience. 72.4% of the participants were nurses, and 86.6% worked in the public sector. The percentage of those with income lower than expenses was 37.8%. The rate of those who speak a foreign language was 54.5%, and 30.8% of them had been abroad. The percentage of those working in the field of health tourism was 10.4%, and the rate of those who received training on health tourism was 25.1%. The percentage of patients from abroad in the hospital where they work was 49.3%. The health tourism awareness scale did not show a significant difference according to age, gender, education level, duration of working in the hospital, working in the field of health tourism, and the hospital where they work (p>0.05). Additionally, the health tourism awareness scale showed a significant difference based on receiving training on health tourism, knowing a foreign language, being abroad, and the type of institution (p<0.05). Education, knowing a foreign language, being abroad, and the type of institution affect health tourism awareness. In conclusion, it can be stated that the level of awareness of health tourism is gradually increasing but has not reached the desired level.
