Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı İngilizce öğretmenlerinin uzaktan eğitime ilişkin görüşlerini belirleyerek, "uzaktan eğitim süreci" ile ilgili önerilerde bulunmaktır. Araştırmanın nicel kısmına 2020-2021 eğitim-öğretim yılında Mardin ili sınırları içerisinde bulunan resmi eğitim kurumlarında ( İlkokul, Ortaokul, Lise) görev yapan 439 kadrolu İngilizce öğretmeninden 228'i katılmıştır. Araştırmaya göre öğretmenlerin %14,9'u uzaktan eğitimden memnun olduklarını, %53,9'u geliştirilmesi gerektiğini, %31,1'i memnun olmadıklarını belirtmektedirler. Öğretmenlerin uzaktan eğitim sürecine ilişkin, "Uzaktan eğitimde öğrenci çalışmaları", "Uzaktan eğitimde fırsatlar", "Uzaktan eğitimde derse devam", "Uzaktan eğitimde okul yönetimi", "Uzaktan eğitimde ödev çalışmaları" alt boyutlarına verdikleri cevaplar arasında çalıştıkları kuruma, cinsiyete, yaşa, mesleki kıdeme, uzaktan eğitim ile ilgili hizmet içi eğitim alıp almamaya, haftalık çevrimiçi hazırlık için harcanan zamana göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunmamıştır.
The aim of this study is to make suggestions about the "distance education " by considering "evaluation of English teachers' views on the distance education process". The study group consists of 439 English teachers working in primary, middle and high schools in Mardin during the 2020-2021 academic year. The quantitative sample of the study consists of 228 teachers reached via online tools. In the study, the opinions of 80 teachers were taken with semi-structured interview forms to collect the qualitative data. Interview forms were created using the maximum variation sampling method, one of the purposeful sampling methods. Statistical analysis of the quantitative data was carried out with the SPSS 22.0 program. ANOVA and t-tests were applied to the items in order to test the effect of dependent variables. Kolmogorov-Smirnova test statistics were applied considering the number of respondents. The obtained results showed that the answers given by the participants showed a homogeneous distribution (p> 0.05). In addition, the LSD (Least Significant Difference) test was used to analyze the data. In the research, the Cronbach Alpha value was 0.905. According to the research, 14.9% of the teachers stated that they were satisfied with distance education, 53.9% stated it should be improved and 31.1% stated they were not satisfied with it. In the study, there was no significant difference between the responses given by the teachers to the dimensions of "Students' studies in distance education", "Opportunities in distance education", "Attendance in distance education", "School administration in distance education" "Assignment in distance education" based on school type, gender, age, seniority, training related to distance education and the time spent for weekly online preparation.
