Antik yazarların eserleri çerçevesinde Anadolu şehirleri(Homeros, Herodotos, Ksenophon, Strabon)

Abstract

Tarihin en eski yerleşim yerleri ile medeniyetlerini bünyesinde barındırmış olan Anadolu coğrafyası oldukça önem arz etmektedir. Stratejik konumunun yanı sıra yaşanabilir iklimi ve verimli arazileri bölgenin yerleşmeye elverişli olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu nedenlerden ötürü tarih boyunca göç dalgalarına ve beraberinde yeni oluşumlara ev sahipliği yapmıştır. Tarihçilerin Ege göçleri olarak adlandırdığı ve Anadolu'da Hititler'in yıkılışına sebep olan bu süreç ile birliktebölgenin tarihi ve demografik yapısı oldukça değişmiştir. Bu değişimin nedeni göçmen halkların yerleştikleri yerlerde yerli halkı ya göçe zorlaması ya da kaynaşıp melez bir toplum oluşturmasıydı. Yeni yapılanma sonucunda Anadolu'da koloniler veya krallıklar kurulmuştur. Daha sonraki dönemlerde Persler güçlenerek Anadolu'yu hakimiyeti altına almıştır.Tüm bu önemli olaylar yaşanırken Anadolu'nun antik şehirlerinin tarihi merak konusu olmuştur.Bu çalışmada Ege Göçlerinden Pers hakimiyetinin sonuna dek, Antik yazarların Anadolu coğrafyası ve şehirleri ile ilgili aktarımları ele alınacaktır.

Asia Minor is an important region since it was there that the most ancient settlements and civilisations emerged. It not only takes a strategic position but also has a temperate climate and fertile land, which made it ideal for settlement. For this reasons it experienced throughout history waves of migration and new configurations. This process, which led to what the historians call Aegean migration and to the collapse of the Hittites in Asia Minor, changed the historical and demographic make-up of the region considerably. The reason for this change was that the people were forced to migrate by newcomers who came to their homelands, or that they merged with them and formed a hybrid society. As a result of this process colonies or kingdoms were founded in Asia Minor. In later times the Persians became powerful and brought Asia Minor under their control. While all these important events took place the history of the ancient cities in Asia Minor became a topic of interest.This study deals with the information that the ancient writers have passed down to us about the region and cities of Asia Minor from the Aegean migration to the end of the Persian rule.
