NİSA 34. AYETTE HİTAP AÇISINDAN “DARB” MESELESİ

Abstract

Bu çalışma Nisa 34. ayette geçen “darb” meselesini hitap açısından ele almaktadır. Erken dönemden günümüze kadar bu ayete yapılan yorumlar, ayetin kocalara hitap ettiği düşüncesiyle yapılmıştır. O yüzden kadına darb yetkisinin de kocada olduğu ileri sürülerek darb meselesini tefsir etmişlerdir. Buna göre darb kelimesinin tefsirinde üç ana yaklaşım ortaya çıkmıştır. Klasik yaklaşım, tarihselci yaklaşım ve modernist yaklaşım. Klasik yaklaşıma göre gerektiğinde kadın kocası tarafından hafif olmak koşuluyla dövülebilir. Tarihselci yaklaşıma göre Kur’an’ın indiği dönemde toplum ataerkil olduğundan, kocanın eşini dövmesi geleneksel olarak bir sorun teşkil etmiyordu. O yüzden Kur’an, o dönem için kocanın eşini dövmesine cevaz vermiştir. Modernist yaklaşımlara göre ise ayette geçen “darb” kelimesi vurmak, dövmek anlamında değildir. Bu kelime, seyahat etmek veya evde tutmak anlamında olabilir. O yüzden nüşuz yapan kadını kocası bir müddet ailesinin yanına gönderebilir. Diğer bir alternatif olarak koca, nüşuz yapan kadını ikna etmek ve sorunu çözmek için onu evde tutmalıdır. Bu çalışma ise bu yaklaşımların sorunlu olduğunu ileri sürmektedir. Ayete yapılan bu tefsirlerin kritiğini sunduktan sonra alternatif bir anlamı gündeme getirmektedir. Böylece darb konusunda ayetin yöneticileri muhatap aldığını ve o nedenle darb yetkisinin kocada olmadığını ileri sürmektedir.

This study deals with the issue of “darb” (beating) mentioned in Surah Nisa’ verse 34 in terms of address. The interpretations of this verse from the early period to the present have been made with the idea that the verse addresses husbands. That is why they interpreted the problem of beting issue on the grounds that the husband has the authority to put a coup on women. Accordingly, three main approaches have emerged in the interpretation of the word “beating”. Classical approach, historicist approach and modern approach. According to the classical approach, when necessary, a woman can be beaten by her husband lightly. According to the historicist approach, since the society was patriarchal at the time of the Quran, it was not a problem for the husband to beat his wife traditionally. But this provision does not apply today, as such a tradition is not valid today. According to modern approaches, the word “beating” in the verse does not mean hitting or pound. Thus, this study claims that the verse was addressed to the rulers regarding the beating, and therefore the husband did not have the authority to beating women.
