Emile Durkheim'ın sosyolojik düşünceye katkısı

Abstract

Sosyolojinin kurucu isimlerinden Emile Durkheim'ın sosyolojik düşünceye katkılarına odaklanan bu çalışma, üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, çalışmanın amacı, önemi, yöntemi ve sınırlılıkları gibi metodolojik problemler ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölümde Durkheim'ın yaşamına ve yaşadığı dönemin toplumsal özelliklerine yer verilmiş ve dönemin düşünsel ikliminin Durkheim'ın epistemolojisinin ve metodolojisinin oluşmasına nasıl etki ettiği tartışılmıştır. Çalışmanın ana eksenini oluşturan üçüncü bölümdeyse Durkheim'ın temel çalışmaları ele alınmış ve bu çalışmaların eleştirel bir değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. İşbölümünden organik ve mekanik dayanışmaya, intiharın toplumsal neden, sonuç ve türlerinden sosyolojinin konusunun neliğine, toplumsal olgu tanımından bu olguların nasıl incelenmesi gerektiğine ve din tartışmalarına kadar birçok problem derinlemesine analiz edilmiştir. Sonuç kısmında da tüm bu tartışmalardan elde edilen sonuç ortaya konmaya çalışılmış ve Durkheim'ın sosyolojiye kazandırdığı perspektif izah edilmiştir.

This study, which focuses on the contributions of Emile Durkheim, one of the founding names of sociology, to sociological thought, consists of three parts. In the first part, methodological problems such as the purpose, importance, method and limitations of the study were discussed. The second part focused on Durkheim's life and the social characteristics of the period in which he lived and It was discussed how the intellectual climate of the period influenced the formation of Durkheim's epistemology and methodology. In the third part, which constitutes the main axis of the study, durkheim's basic studies were discussed and a critical evaluation of these studies was made. Many problems have been analyzed in depth from the department of business to organic and mechanical solidarity, from the social causes, consequences and types of suicide to the nature of the subject of sociology, from the definition of social facts to how these facts should be examined and religious discussions. In the conclusion section, the result of all these discussions was tried to be revealed and the perspective that Durkheim brought to sociology was explained.
