Abstract
The process and the essence of desiring has always been associated with the subject throughout history and the right to this act was granted to it. Baudrillard, critically approached this process of desiring based on the will and desires of the subject. He included the object in the process of requesting and approached from different a way. However it has accepted as a instrument of desiring in the course of the ages. This study problematizes the passivity and seduction of the subject in the process of activating the object with a Baudrillardian perspective. This study consists of an introduction and two sections. In the introduction, the methodology of our study was stated and necessary concepts were analyzed. In the first chapter, mental processes such as image, desire, reason and will are investigated. Baudrillard deals with these mental factors not just with subject on the axis; but by included the object in process. Therefore, it investigates reason and will within the framework of uncertainty and coincidence. In addition, he draws on the issue of image being more real than reality. He says that the subject of desire is created not by the subject's own will's activity but by using artificial images. In the second chapter, the effects of the social conditions such as fashion, advertising and mass media on the desiring processes are discussed. Baudrillard says that all these conditions create desires in the subject by producing images and directs it to consumption. Thus, these social conditions create a permanent deficiency in the subject and make it necessary for it to complete itself. The subject is trying to resolve them in the ways imposed on him in order not to fall behind the society and so as to fill the void created in it. At the end of this, the subject is seduced by acquiring the object of consumption which the social conditions make attractive by the images and which constantly change.
