İslam Tarihi ve Sanatları Bölümü, Hz. Muhammed (s.a.s.)’in yaşadığı asırdan günümüze Müslümanların din, siyaset, toplum, ekonomi, bilim, edebiyat ve sanat vb. alanlarda yapmış oldukları faaliyetleri ve yaşanan olayları, akademik yöntemlerle ele almaya, bu tarihî birikimi objektif bir gözle değerlendirip günümüz insanına sunmaya gayret eden anabilim dallarından teşekkül etmektedir. Bu bölüme bağlı dersler sayesinde öğrencilerimizin, tarihsel ve kronolojik bakış açısını edinmeleri, mezkûr süreç içerisinde yaşanan olayları en doğru ve tutarlı bir şekilde tahlil edebilme yetisini kazanmaları, ayrıca İslam toplumunun edebiyat ve çeşitli sanat dallarına dair bilgi ve tecrübe edinmeleri hedeflenmektedir.
Department of Islamic History and Arts, Muslims' religion, politics, society, economy, science, literature and arts, etc. It consists of departments that try to deal with the activities and events experienced in their fields with academic methods and to evaluate this historical background objectively and present it to today's people. Thanks to the courses of this department, it is aimed that our students acquire a historical and chronological perspective, gain the ability to analyze the events experienced in the aforementioned process in the most accurate and consistent manner, and also gain knowledge and experience in the literature and various branches of art of the Islamic society. The departments and sub-sciences within the department are as follows: Department of Islamic History: History of Islam. Department of Turkish-Islamic Literature and Islamic Arts: Turkish-Islamic Literature, Islamic Arts, Turkish Religious Music.
