Description
Ekonomi, hızla gelişen bir bilim dalıdır. Küreselleşme süreci, hızlanan teknolojik ilerleme ve artan uluslararası rekabet, ekonomik sorunları anlamanın ve çözmenin önemini istikrarlı bir şekilde artırmaktadır. Genel olarak, iktisatın ve iktisatçıların rolü, çeşitli sosyal ve ekonomik politikaların nasıl tasarlanacağı ve uygulanacağı da dahil olmak üzere genişliyor. Mardin Artuklu Üniversitesi İktisat Bölümü'nün misyonu, hem öğretim hem de araştırma yoluyla, toplumumuzun şimdi ve gelecekte karşılaşacağı küresel, ulusal ve yerel ekonomik sorunların daha iyi anlaşılmasını sağlamaktır.
Mardin Artuklu Üniversite İktisat Bölümünde lisans ve lisansüstü programlar yürütülmektedir. İktisat Bölümü lisans programının amacı, iktisat teorisi ve uygulamalı istatistiksel yöntemlere sağlam bir teorik temel sağlamaktır.
Lisans programlarımızın temel hedefleri:
- Öğrencilerimize yaşam boyu öğrenmenin temelini oluşturmak için uygun analitik becerileri sağlamak;
- Öğrencilerimizin politika okuryazarı olmalarını ve böylece vatandaş olarak daha bilgili olmalarını sağlamak;
- Öğrencileri iş dünyasına tanıtmak, sınıfta öğretimi pekiştirmek ve kariyer hedeflerinin geliştirilmesine ve ilerletilmesine yardımcı olmak için işbirlikli eğitim de dahil olmak üzere deneyimsel öğrenmenin kullanımını teşvik etmek;
- Öğrencilerimizi uygulamalı ekonomistler olarak başarılı kariyerlere hazırlamak; ve
- Lisans öğrencilerimizi ekonomi, hukuk ve işletme alanlarında lisansüstü eğitime hazırlamak.
Lisanüstü programlar tezli ve tezsiz yüksek lisans ve doktora programlarını kapsamaktadır. Lisanüstü programların genel amacı ise, makroekonomi, mikroekonomi ve ekonometri alanındaki temel konuların anlaşılmasını derinleştirmek için tasarlanmıştır.
Economics is a rapidly developing branch of science. The process of globalization, accelerating technological progress and growing international competition increase the importance of understanding and solving economic problems steadily. The role of economics and economists is expanding, including how to design and implement various social and economic policies. The mission of the Department of Economics at Mardin Artuklu University is to provide, through both teaching and research, a better understanding of the global, national and local economic issues that will confront our society now and in the future. Department of Economics carries out both undergraduate and graduate programs. The aim of the undergraduate program of Department of Economics is to provide a sound theoretical basis in economic theory and applied statistical methods. The graduate program of Department of Economics is composed of a M.Sc. and Ph.D programs. M.Sc. Program is designed to deepen the understanding of core topics in macroeconomics, microeconomics and econometrics The department’s teaching mission is to offer rigorous undergraduate and graduate degree programs with emphasis on the relationship of theory to practice, use of hands-on research assignments, and the use of state-of-the-art educational technology. It places a particularly strong emphasis on students, incorporating independent learning experiences, extensive student-professor interaction, and the maintenance of a friendly, supportive environment for all students. The basic objectives of our degree programs are: to provide our students with appropriate analytical skills to lay the groundwork for lifelong learning; to enable our students to become policy-literate and thus be more informed as citizens; to encourage the use of experiential learning, including cooperative education, as a means to introduce students to the world of work, reinforce classroom teaching, and assist in the development and advancement of career goals; to prepare our students for successful careers as applied economists; and to prepare our undergraduate students for graduate training in economics, law and business administration.
